Summary: Shavon Kirkland, who is fragile and depressed, is approached by a young vampire Tyquan, who is met with her rejection. Before taking Shavon on their first date, Shavon's boyfriend Jo Jo drops by and meets her mother for the first time. Jo Jo leaves to wait in the car after some time of waiting for Shavon. Tyquan is seated behind the wheel when Shavon gets in the car, not Jo Jo. Then Tyquan brandishes his fangs and starts to assault Shavon. To protect herself from Tyquan, she takes an Ankh out of her handbag and scares Tyquan. He dashes from the automobile and vanishes into the night.
